On Diversity, Leadership, and Social Change
GDD 1: Houston, Texas, USA
14-16 April 2005
Hosts: Jeremy Solomons
Patricia Goleman and Debbie Wilkins
Three days of collective reflection and discovery created a platform for a next meeting. This first group of individuals gave their platform the initial name of the Global Diversity Dialogue.
Following a concept conceived by Jeremy Solomons using the Open Space Approach of David Bohm, participants from diverse backgrounds, interests and perspectives met in sunny springtime Houston to discuss equality, culture, individualism and stereotypes. Diversity and Inclusion experts came to share their experiences.
Among many other topics covered were the influences and effects of religion, stereotypes, national policy, networking, and the obligations and responsibilities of cultural emissaries and observers.
